Valve makes TF2 modification easier by waiving $50,000 in fees | PCGamesN

The modification scene of Team Fortress 2 seems to be easier, because Valve has obviously reached an agreement with Microsoft to waive the $50,000 fee for the Havok physics engine for future mods—not just TF2, because the deal obviously covers all Valves Games, which may include "Half-Life: Alyx".

In the same week that Rockstar and Take-Two came under fire for the fiasco of GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition-they hit many mods and mod sites and asked for removal to build-Valve Software seems to be doing it for the mod community by removing Some good things are high physics engine licensing costs.

As @TF2CCWiki originally posted on Twitter, they asked Valve to support the acquisition of Havok physics engine asset licenses-for any Valve-supported paid module on Steam it usually costs $50,000-and was told that Valve has "reached an agreement with Microsoft The Havok fee for future Valve game modules is waived", which is good news for the module community.

This was confirmed by the manufacturer of the sports-based Momentum Mod, who received the same response. Hopefully, this means that the two main Team Fortress 2 modules launched earlier this year will return soon, because TF2Classic has obviously not received a response from Valve.

I can confirm that this response is legal, and the same Steam EU legal review has responded to us about obtaining access to the Havok code of @MomentumMod. Free modules never need to pay $50,000 to get a license, but this fee reduction is good news for us, because we want to edit VPhysics!
